Corporate Social Responsibility with a Purpose

At Aurex Constructors we are on a mission to change the challenges faced by South Africans, by answering to the need for skills development, secure facilities and essentials that will make a difference to those in the community.

Working towards growing the industry and making a difference

Our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives are based on our values: quality, responsibility, tenacity and integrity. We work together with the communities where we operate to identify needs and challenges that we can address and provide sustainable solutions for. Each of our initiatives has a purpose, whether that is to enhance employment opportunities through skills development, rebuilding and refurbishing facilities to ensure the safety of those using them or delivering food to help alleviate hunger.

Our way of making a difference

Welding ProgrammeWelding Programme

The establishment of the Boitjhorisong Welding Skills Program

There is a scarcity of skilled welders in the Zamdela community. This centre has been developed to help alleviate this problem, by giving locals an opportunity to gain a welding certification, to help them find employment or start their own business. 11 of the first group of 12 candidates who started their training in March graduated in November 2020.

Boitumelo and Angels Home Educare Centre’s refurbishment

Structural safety is important to us, especially where children are concerned. Our team in Sasolburg helped refurbish the school and toilet facilities at the centre. The team also sponsored the construction of a vegetable tunnel to assist with feeding the 72 children at the school.

Thorisong Primary School clean-up

Our team came together to assist with the clean-up and refurbishment of different areas at the Thorisong Primary School in Embalenhle. Teams cleaned up the area, refurbished the kitchen and helped to ensure that the mini substation was made safe and secure.

Schools dry toilet initiative

We are on a mission to ensure that all children have dignity, and part of this is making sure that they have access to proper toilet facilities. We partnered with Sanitech and M&S to donate dry toilets to four different schools in Embalenhle.

Aurex Initiatives

In-Kind initiative

Our teams across the country have supported several different donation drives as part of the In-Kind initiative. This has included blanket drives in Embalenhle and Bethal, the donation of welding equipment to the GMM Community Forum in Secunda, toiletry and stationery deliveries to old age homes in Gauteng, 30000 meals packed as part of the Rise Against Hunger collaboration and more.
