This Statement explains how we obtain, use and disclose your personal information, as is required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”).
At Aurex we are committed to protecting your privacy and to ensure that your personal information is collected and used properly, lawfully and transparently.

Who is the responsible party for processing personal information
Aurex Constructors (Pty) Ltd (registration number: 2006/002013/07 (“Aurex”) is a private company, duly incorporated in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
We provide quality end-to-end solutions that span Construction, Turnarounds and Maintenance projects across all energy sectors.
For which purpose do we process personal information
We collect and process your personal information mainly to provide you with access to our services, to help us improve our offerings to you and sending you updates about our product and service catalogue. The type of information we collect will depend on the purpose for which it is collected and used. Where possible, we will inform you what information you are required to provide to us and what information is optional.
We will only collect information that we need for that purpose and is based on the following legal grounds:

What personal information do we process?

How long do we retain your personal information?
Personal information gathered is retained for the duration of the contractual relationship and no longer than 5 years after (unless there is a regulatory reason to hold it for a longer period of time in which case it will be deleted once no longer required for that purpose)
Disclosure of information
We do not pass on or sell online personal information to third parties. We may however share information within our organisation and in some cases, it will be necessary to pass information to our pension or share administrators. This may include our employees, agents, contractors and sub-contractors. Please note that by sending your personal information to us you are consenting to the processing and transfer of such information in this way.

- Where we have a duty or a right to disclose in terms of law or industry codes;
- Where we believe it is necessary to protect our rights.
How do we secure personal information?
We are legally obliged to provide adequate protection for the personal information we hold and to stop unauthorised access and use of personal information. We will, on an ongoing basis, continue to review our security controls and related processes to ensure that your personal information is secure.
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. The servers that We store personal information on are kept in a secure environment.
We employ organisational and technical security measures, including password protection, encryption, physical locks, etc., to protect Personal Data and to ensure it is processed appropriately, consistently and in accordance with applicable data privacy laws and regulations. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
We restrict access to personal information to employees who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, continue to deliver or improve Our services. We train our employees on how to safely handle personal information.
When we contract with third parties, we impose appropriate security, privacy and confidentiality obligations on them to ensure that personal information that we remain responsible for, is kept secure. We may need to transfer your personal information to another country for processing or storage. We will ensure that anyone to whom we pass your personal information agrees to treat your information with the same level of protection as we are obliged to.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to update, correct or delete your personal information. We will take all reasonable steps to confirm your identity before making changes to personal information we may hold about you.
