Aurex Constructors was engaged by Sasol for the comprehensive execution of the XRT Sorter project, a critical infrastructure upgrade aimed at enhancing material handling and sorting capabilities within the plant. Our team meticulously managed key phases, including structural fabrication and equipment installation, demonstrating a commitment to mechanical excellence and operational foresight to ensure minimal disruption and seamless integration.

Our multi-faceted scope included the strategic Conveyor Belt tail extension to streamline material flow, the installation of a new platform for improved access and operational efficiency, and comprehensive structural fabrication to support the new infrastructure. The project’s success was underpinned by precise installation during shutdown and post-shut periods, a testament to our planning and execution capabilities. We also managed Phase 2 Equipment Procurement, ensuring all components met the highest standards for performance and reliability. Each element was delivered with precision, showcasing Aurex’s ability to manage complex SMP construction with accuracy and efficiency.

The XRT Sorter facility significantly improved Sasol’s operational efficiency by enhancing material handling and sorting processes. NCP Chlorchem 2022 Shutdown

At NCP Chlorchem’s facility in Kempton Park, Aurex Constructors was entrusted with managing a specialised mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (MEI) Shutdown, ensuring a seamless process that prioritised safety, precision, and efficiency. By minimising operational disruptions, we are reinforcing our reputation as a trusted partner in high-risk industrial environments, delivering reliability where it matters most.

With a strong track record in high-risk industrial environments, Aurex Constructors was selected to lead this shutdown project with a peak workforce of 56 specialists. The project scope encompassed rewiring distribution board (DB) boxes, issuing compliance certificates, and calibrating control and instrumentation equipment to ensure functionality.Additionally, the team was responsible for stripping and boxing components, facilitating a smooth and compliant restart post- shutdown.

The successful completion of the shutdown improved operational reliability at NCP Chlorchem, ensuring compliance with industry regulations while maintaining high safety standards. By minimising downtime the project safeguarded continuous chlorine production, which is essential for national water treatment.

Our scope encompassed the full design, construction, and integration of high-capacity systems tailored for bulk material handling and export logistics, demonstrating Aurex’s ability to manage complex terminal developments with precision and scale.

Aurex’s execution included the installation of a wagon tippler system for efficient rail-to-terminal unloading, construction of a high-capacity conveyor network with integrated transfer towers, delivery of stackers and reclaimers optimised for continuous bulk handling, installation of ship loaders and utility piping to ensure full export readiness, seamless integration of all systems into a cohesive, high-throughput operation. The project was delivered with strict adherence to safety, quality, and schedule, reinforcing Aurex’s reputation for excellence in high-impact infrastructure.
